Is it possible to execute live-to-VOD without saving live recorded video(Live Source File)?

Yes, possible.

Live-to-VOD is feasible to execute without live source file if "Livestream Catchup" is chosen on Source of Live-to-VOD setting of VOD section. This is because BlendVision system shoots/encodes  the live streaming for Live-to-VOD streaming independently. But in this case, there is not way to store/export Live-to-VOD's source file after broadcasting. So if you want to utilize recorded live video later, please don't forget to tick "Live Source File" so that recorded video is stored in the library.

Also, if you want to fulfill all requirements below, please tick "Live Source File" through BlendVision system to prepare source file for editing.

  • "Replace with an edited VOD" is chosen on Source of Live-to-VOD setting of VOD section.
  • You're planning to create the replaced video based on record actual live streaming.
  • Organizer doesn't have enough way to record the actual live streaming. (For example, there is some streaming software which can record the actual live streaming. If organizer can prepare the source file for editing by that kind of software, you may not have to store recorded live video on BlendVision.)
