General Settings Module Introduction
Within the General Settings module, you can set up your own CDN, cloud storage, and customize encoding configurations to empower your streaming service.
VOD ProfileSets
Profile is an important part that defines the video output resolution, video output bitrate, and audio output bitrate for encoding. Furthermore, it will also affect the costing of encoding, storage usages of encoded video and the CDN usages while watching the VOD.
Customize ProfileSets
In BlendVision, you need to define your output resolution and bitrate into a ProfileSet that will define the codec and streaming protocol of your encoding output for each VOD. BlendVision provides the ability for you to easily produce adaptive streaming by customizing your own ProfileSets or using the presets we provide.
Customize Profiles
Profiles define the video resolution, video bitrate, and audio bitrate output for encoding. Furthermore, it also affects the cost of encoding, storage, and CDN usage of the VOD.
BYO CDN - Bring Your Own CDN
By default, BlendVision will handle the delivery of content created within our platform, however, we also offer the flexibility of BYO CDN-Bring Your Own CDN which enables you to leverage your AWS CloudFront distributions for content delivery within BlendVision. You will configure AWS CloudFront distributions with the origin and cache behavior policies that BlendVisione provides and complete the settings accordingly.

Dictionary Overview
Cloud Storage
BlendVision provides an upload file method for VOD encoding that allows BlendVision to fetch files from your AWS S3 bucket. By setting the trust policy correctly, you can grant BlendVision permission to access your S3 buckets, and then provide the file path(s) for VOD encoding. If you want to receive encoded files, simply choose the cloud storage bucket you've created in the console, and the encoded files will be stored there.
